The back panel "flow system" will keep you sweat free on longer hikes.

It's daily use is as a school bag/sports bag and it's weekend use has been on hikes and a couple of camping trips. We've used this now for over a year and there is very little wear and tear evident. The stitching is intact and the zippers are all functioning.

The Berghaus 24/7 30L Backpack has definitely proved its mettle over the last year. From being continually beaten around by my eldest son who still doesn't seem to understand the concept of putting anything away rather than using the floor as his dumping ground to being used on many camping trips, summer and autumn, it's been one of our go-to backpacks. Its generous capacity easily accommodates our daily essentials, from laptops to gym gear to sleeping bags and the versatile organisation kept items neatly in place, reducing the time spent rummaging through the bag.
The comfortable fit has been a consistent plus point, even during extended use. It distributed weight evenly, reducing strain on our shoulders and back even when the pack was fully charged with either camping gear or textbooks. While it's not designed for long-haul outdoor trekking, it's more than capable of handling light day hikes and even a 2 day hike.
The backpack has a waterproof coating so we've found that whilst it may be fine in light showers, it's advisable to use a backpack cover if you are going out in heavy rain so the water doesn't seep through to your gear.

Designed with functionality in mind, the Berghaus 24/7+ has incredible versatility from using it as your daily commute rucksack to packing it up for a 2 day hike across the hills. The rucksack is well built with durable materials and the ripstop nylon gives it longevity and certainly after a year of continual use, it's not showing any signs of ageing.
The backpack is split into several pockets, the front pocket holds smaller organiser pockets and a key clip while the back pocket supports up to a 17" laptop and the H2O outlet. The back pocket is cavernous and holds so much equipment from extra clothing to food to sleeping pads and if using in town, will easily transport your work or college gear.
The double water bottle pockets are a bonus, again giving you more storage as one can be used to store a compressed sleeping pad. The H2O outlet doesn't compromise your space and is compatible with most hydration systems. This rucksack is feature rich from the compression side straps to the height-adjustable chest strap and the vented flow back panel keeps sweat at bay whether you're up on the hills or fighting through the queues on the Tube!

We've used this rucksack on many occasions and it has now become my eldest son's school backpack and sports kit bag as there is so much room for all his gear. From a hiking and general outdoor camping point of view, the 24/7+ has loads of plus points. From hot, sunny days (ok it's all relative - we live in Scotland so "hot and sunny" is not the same as your experience of hot and sunny in the sunshine states or elsewhere!) walking the beaches to winter treks along the clifftops, this rucksack has been extremely easy to wear.
Comfort seems to be a key element of Berghaus outdoor equipment and certainly this rucksack is very comfortable to wear even on extended trips. The straps are easy to adjust to the right fit and they are well padded which helps distribute weight better across your shoulders and this really comes into play when you load this rucksack to it's full limit.
The back panel is also padded and features a breathable mesh that helps to minimise sweat and keeps you cool on hotter day and when you're wearing your pack for extended periods of time. I haven't tried the hydration system as I still prefer to carry a water bottle but we did give the trekking or walking pole attachment loops a shot and, for me personally, it just felt a bit cumbersome with them attached.
